Review of example video files

This step demonstrates the capabilities of J-DSP using three short videos. Click on the links below to see each video. If asked, select "Open file". Note that the videos are in avi format and may require that you install the necessary windows plug-in.

    Step 2a Video 1: Starting J-DSP (play)
This video shows the procedure with which J-DSP can be loaded. Please note that J-DSP is a large applet that loads progressively. Therefore the first time you load it, you may experience some delay.

Step 2b Video 2: Pole-Zero placement example (play)
Description: This example demonstrates how the poles and zeros in the z plane affect the frequency response of the filter. Observe that by moving the pole the frequency response peak moves across frequency.

Step 2c Video 3: MIDI sounds example (play)
Description: This example illustrates the FFT spectrum of sinusoidal signals produced by the MIDI block.

Step 2d Video 4: Spectrogram example (play)
Description: This example shows the time-frequency representation (spectrogram) of a sinusoidal signal.

Step 2e Video 5: Laboratory submission example (play)
Description: This example demonstrates how a EEE 407 student submits the lab report of a J-DSP lab exercise.

Step 2f Video 6: Laboratory grading example (play)
Description: This example demonstrates how the EEE 407 grader evaluates the lab report of a J-DSP lab exercise.
